This residency is produced by Espace Croisé and organized by La ligne ouverte and the Re-Connect Performance Festival.

As part of the exhibition "Memories of Other Worlds", the Espace Croisé, La ligne ouverte and the Re-Connect Performance Festival are hosting a new artist residency.

This hybrid residency between remote and face-to-face creation will give rise to an original collaboration between the Iranian artist Maryam Katan and the French artist Filipe Vilas-Boas. From February to May 2021, the two artists will work remotely between Berlin and Paris for the research and preparation part, then the creation will be realized at the convent of the Clarisses in Roubaix in June. The result of the residency will be presented during the exhibition "Memories of Other Worlds".

It is around the history of this place and the themes of the exhibition (memories, spirituality, icons and real and fantasized worlds) that the curator of the exhibition Antonin Jousse invited these two artists to collaborate. We invite you to discover the result of this residency next June.
